The Celtics Lost To The Nets.

This is going to be more of a rant than anything else, and what better way to get a point across than having two angry people rant.
Anyways, we each wrote a section of this post:

So this past Saturday the Boston Celtics, the 2008 NBA Champions, lost to the worst team in the league. I mean, who do the Nets even have on their roster?

The Celtics on the other hand have the big three. They have Rasheed Wallace. Now they even have Nate Robinson. And we lost to the Nets by 8. Paul Pierce's injury is no excuse. This can be blamed on no one but our starters. Something needs to be done.
In addition to losing to the worst team in the NBA, the Celtics blew a 13 point lead against Lebron James and the Cavaliers last thursday. Inexcusable. We don't play second half basketball.
Someone needs to step up as the person that is going to lead this team into the playoffs this year. If no one does I don't know how far the Celtics are going to make it in the playoffs.
Looking at how the team is playing right now, the person who's going to take the team to the next level in the post season could be Rajon Rondo. He consistently plays conscientious team basketball.

We need to refocus our efforts on our defense. Is the beginning of this season that long ago? Did we forget what our style of play was back then? Doc Rivers is going to have to start cracking skulls at practice if we don't start ripping boards down on both ends of the court. No allowing easy baskets on a second or third attempt.

Also, don't let Rasheed take any more 3's. He's not going to make them.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse…The Celtics lose to the Nets.

You know all the talk about how the Celtics biggest disadvantage is their age used to go in one ear and out the other for me. I thought, nah this is the Boston Celtics, we won it in 2008, battled injuries in 2009 and are here to play in 2010 and regain that title. Now I realize there is absolutely no possible way that we could be crowned the champs, no way no how. We are 2-9 against the East contenders (Magic, Cavs and Hawks) and 1-3 against the top West teams (Dallas, LA, Denver) and cant beat the NETS?! AT HOME?! THEY WERE 5-52!

Not to mention that we shot 50% and outrebounded them 41-35 which clearly shows how the biggest problem right now is the Defense. The Defense is the Backbone. Where defense happens video:

I mean I know Pierce is out but cmon, its like we either don’t show up in the 4th quarter or let the other team score 110 and happen to get 30 or so points in the quarter but still lose just like we did today and vs Denver. Cleveland and NY were the two that we decided to not show up to play in the 4th, however we did pull out a win vs NY. Lets just hope when The Truth heals up we can finish the season on a good healthy stretch and use our veteran experience to carry us through the playoffs. But if we close out games or start playing some defense we could be looking at a long offseason.
